The Chester Basin Fire Department currently has four modern fire fighting apparatus. This apparatus consists of 3 Pumper/Tankers and a fully equipped Rescue unit. The apparatus is capable of responding to all emergency fire calls within Chester Basin and assists our neighboring communities on mutual aid calls. The Rescue unit provides response to major motor vehicle accidents and provides support at all fire scenes.

Rescue 621 is a 2007 International. It carries a 4 bottle cascade system and an on board 5500 watt generator. It carries a full set of Hurst extrication tools and air bags for us at Motor vehicle accident response. It also carries a thermal imaging camera for use on the fire scene. The unit is fully stocked with required medical first response supplies. There is a 2 bottle cascade system for filling breathing apparatus bottles on board. It responds to all motor vehicle and fire incidents and for Mutual Aid assistance for other neighboring communities as required.

Pumper 632 is a 2011 Spartan Furion with a custom built Metalfab body. It has a 1250 Waterous pump and carries 1000 gallons of water on board. This is a first out pumper and carries a crew of 6. It responds to all requests for Mutual Aid assistance for other neighboring communities.

Pumper 631 is a 2018 Spartan ERV. Built in South Dakota and purchased through Dependable Emergency Vehicles. It has a 1250 IGPM pump with a 840 Imperial gallon water tank. The hose bed contains 300 ft of pre-connected 1 ¾ hose, 250 ft of pre-connected 2 1/2 inch hose, 750 ft of 2 1/2 hose and 1000 ft of 4 inch hose. There is also two speed lays of 200 ft of pre-connected 1 ¾ hose near the pump panel. The unit also carries our vehicle extrication gear. This pumper is first out to all calls within our district.

Pumper / Tanker  641 is a 2001 International with a Metalfab body. It has a 840 waterous pump and carries 1200 gallons of water on board. It has 3 way dumping capability for efficient water off loading. The hose bed consists of 300 ft of 2 1/2 in , 300 ft of 4 inch and two 150 ft 1 1/2 inch cross lays.  It carries and 800 gallaon portable tank and 30 ft of 4 inch suction hose. The Pumper/Tanker is a First Response Unit on all fire and emergency calls. It responds to all requests for Mutual Aid assistance for other neighboring communities.
